Job Title: Marketing and Event Coordinator
Department: Sales/Marketing
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Summary
Reporting to the Marketing and Public Relations Manager, this role develops, plans, and executes a variety of both internal and external events, as well as assists with various marketing-related tasks as needed. This role oversees all aspects of event planning including identifying and working with a variety of external suppliers and venues, negotiating contracts with vendors, and maintaining and managing event budgets and all logistics for events and trade shows.
Essential Functions
The duties listed below are the specific duties and tasks that someone in this position must accomplish.
Valid Driver’s License with no more than two (2) points on a driving record within a three (3) year period
Equipment, Machinery, Tools, and Vehicles Used
General office equipment, including computers, printers, fax machines and telephones
Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that an employee must be able to accomplish to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. - Perform research to gain a deep understanding of different requirements and details of each event.
- Plan and organize events in accordance with financial and time restraints.
- Organize, communicate, and execute event calendar for 12 months visual for sales and leadership team.
- Assists with establishing a year-long event budget and plan.
- Identify and negotiate with vendors for events.
- Analyze and evaluate events’ results.
- Work independently or with the Marketing and PR Manager to book all logistic related needs for company events, including travel, itineraries, etc.
- Ensures lead information is entered into company CRM for tracking event success.
- Ensure proper communication with all internal teams for successful planning of demonstrations and execution for events.
- Organize and prepare demo parts, brochures, and display items to be used at events.
- Work with both internal and external team members to assist with any marketing needs, as assigned by management.
- Ability to travel up to 30% as required.
- Other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications
- Associate degree, preferably in marketing or a related field. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- A minimum of 1 - 3 years of event planning and/or marketing, content management, or related experience required.
- Previous experience planning and coordinating trade shows preferred.
- Previous experience with Adobe Creative Suites preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong customer service skills and the ability to work in a dynamic team environment.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to learn and understand BLM GROUP products and services.
- Advanced skill in the use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and Project).
- Able to effectively use the Internet.
- Highly organized.
- Must be able to work effectively with minimal supervision.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Effective team player who can work with all levels of team members.
