Bloc Blinds Manufacturing, LLC are looking for an HR Assistant to join our team in Dallas Texas.
Bloc Group is a dynamic and innovation company operating in the manufacturing sector. Due to company expansion, we have recently opened a new manufacturing facility that will showcase advanced technologies and automation in our processes to allow our team to work with cutting edge equipment and systems to manufacture blinds.

What does this role contribute to the Company?
As HR Assistant you will be vital in supporting the HR Team by assisting in the day-to-day operations, managing employee records, handling recruitment processes and ensuring that the HR policies and procedures are effectively implemented. You are required to have strong communication skills, attention to detail and be able to manage administrative tasks efficiently.
What we will ask of you:
- Serve as the first point of contact for HR related queries from employees & managers, providing confidential support or escalating relevant issues to the Head of HR, Bloc Group.
- Responsible for all HR Administration within BBM, maintaining and updating employee records, both digital and hard copies.
- Support company health, well-being and social responsibility initiatives, organising activities and events to enhance and develop employee engagement.
- Co-ordinate and organise any relevant training and development activities or programs, maintaining up to date training records, both digital and hard copies.
- Prepare and distribute internal communication materials e.g. announcements and newsletters.
- Assist in the performance appraisal process, collecting feedback and prepare related documents.
- Assist in and maintain records of disciplinary actions and corrective measures.
- ·Ensure compliance with legal and company requirements, (for example labor law and OHSA compliance).
- Assist in managing payroll data, monitoring absences, return to works and sick notes.
- Assist in the administration of bi-weekly hours and liaise with supervisors or managers for any anomalies.
- Provide reports to payroll and agencies with hours of work for the wider team.
- Liaising with the Talent Acquisition Specialist, Bloc Group, to assist in the recruitment process including posting job ads, screening CV’s and scheduling interviews.
- Co-ordinate reference checks, background checks, drug screening and any other pre-employment requirements.
- Assist in implementing and maintaining company HR policies and procedures, ensuring all employees are informed and complaint.
- Support HR related projects, including policy updates, organisational development programs.
- Be comfortable working in an environment that involves visits to the production floor for employee engagement or compliance checks.
- You will be responsible for assisting the General Manager with confidential office administration duties.
What we are looking for:
Essential:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role, with ability to demonstrate solid HR Administration knowledge and experience.
- Relevant qualification in Human Resources, Business or related field.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint,) with the ability to demonstrate strong administration skills.
- Ability to use automated HR Platforms and systems.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills, ability to multitask with strong attention to detail and a high level of confidentiality
- Accuracy in handling employee records, timekeeping and compliance documentations.
- Ability to address employee issues or concerns in HR Processes.
- Be able to work collaboratively as part of the wider team.
