We are seeking a full-time Bookkeeper to handle a broad range of accounting functions including but not limited to accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and bookkeeping using QuickBooks.

Essential Responsibilities:
Banking Process:
- Utilize Positive Pay to monitor and manage outgoing checks.
- Handle all deposits, including scanning and data entry into QuickBooks (QB).
- Weekly cash management reporting.
- Accounts Payable:
- Process operating invoices and upwards of 400 client-related disbursements monthly.
- Ensure timely weekly check runs.
Payroll Process:
- Collaborate with office staff to process weekly payroll for approximately 50 salaried employees, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Handle onboarding and separation processes.
- Calculate and process attorney bonus payments, which may be paid weekly.
- Assist with retirement and health insurance processes.
Wire Transfers:
- Support the office in initiating wire transfers for partner draws and facilitate wire transfers for client fees as needed.
- Credit Card Process:
- Manage credit card transactions for client disbursements utilized by paralegals and attorneys.
- Collaborate with team members to review, categorize, and approve Amex charges.
- Assist in maintaining documentation for credit card transactions.
Referrals:
- Track and manage referral cases, including following up with outside attorney offices.
Case Expense Reporting:
- Prepare breakdowns of closing statements for case expenses, fees, and liens.
- Monitor and follow up to ensure client fee related checks clear the bank.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting with a minimum four years of relevant accounting experience.
Qualifications:
- Experience in a larger personal injury firm is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks, Microsoft Office required
- SmartAdvocate case management software preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
