About the Role
Our client, a respected investment management firm based in Brooklyn, is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Bookkeeper to join their team. This role is integral to maintaining the financial health and operational efficiency of the organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring accurate financial recordkeeping and supporting the company's compliance and reporting needs in a fast-paced, professional environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Records Management: Maintain up-to-date and accurate financial records, including ledgers, invoices, payments, and receipts.
- Accounts Payable and Receivable: Oversee the processing of payments and collections, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately and on time.
- Bank Reconciliations: Reconcile monthly bank statements to ensure accurate cash flow tracking and reporting.
- Investment Reporting: Assist with tracking, categorizing, and reconciling financial transactions related to investment portfolios.
- Payroll Processing: Support payroll functions, including expense tracking and employee reimbursements.
- Tax Preparation Assistance: Collaborate with external accounting teams to prepare for tax filings and audits.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to financial regulations and standards specific to the investment management sector.
- Reporting: Generate and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will have:
- Experience: A minimum of 1 years in a bookkeeping role, preferably within financial services or investment management.
- Technical Proficiency: Expertise in accounting software such as QuickBooks or Xero, and advanced Excel skills. Experience with investment management software is a plus.
- Detail Orientation: Exceptional attention to detail to ensure accuracy and compliance in financial records.
- Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines in a dynamic environment.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication abilities to interact with both internal teams and external partners.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred but not required).

Salary : $60,000 - $75,000
