Job Title: Unified Communications (UC) Technician
Location: Phoenix, AZ (On-site, 5 days a week MUST BE LOCAL)
Duration: 12-month Contract
Pay Rate: $31.25hr to $37.50hr
Work Authorization: Open to U.S. citizens, Green Card holders, and Green Card EADs
Job Description:
We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Unified Communications (UC) Technician to join our team in Phoenix, AZ. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM), Cisco Unity Connection, and Cisco IM & Presence (IM&P), as well as a solid understanding of analog telephony. This role involves providing technical support, troubleshooting, and maintaining UC systems to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
Key Responsibilities:
UC Systems Management:
Install, configure, and maintain Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM), Cisco Unity Connection, and Cisco IM & Presence (IM&P).
Troubleshoot and resolve UC system issues to ensure high availability and performance.
Customer Interaction:
Provide professional and friendly support to customers, addressing their UC-related inquiries and issues.
Conduct on-site visits to troubleshoot and resolve UC and analog telephony issues.
Analog Telephony:
Perform punch downs and other tasks related to analog telephony systems.
Utilize a buttset for testing and troubleshooting analog lines.
Technical Support:
Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to UC and analog telephony systems.
Collaborate with IT teams to ensure seamless integration and operation of communication systems.
Documentation:
Maintain accurate documentation of UC and analog telephony systems, configurations, and procedures.
Qualifications:
Proven experience with Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM), Cisco Unity Connection, and Cisco IM & Presence (IM&P).
Strong understanding of analog telephony, including the use of a buttset and performing punch downs.
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Strong customer service skills with a professional demeanor.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Certifications in Cisco Unified Communications technologies.
Experience with additional UC platforms and technologies.
Previous experience in a customer-facing technical support role.
