Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reporting and documents
- Prepare the reporting package, including disclosure as well as financial statements
- Prepare top-side adjustments to the reporting package and financial statements.
- Prepare month- and quarter- end closing entries
- Review journal entries prepared by (senior) accountants for corporate accounting and financial reporting
- Lead adequate communication among plants, group companies and external parties (ex. external auditors), properly manage a schedule and requests in order to issue the reporting package and the financial statements in a timely manner
- Assist with ad-hoc accounting research and projects (ex. Differences between US GAAP vs. IFRS)
- Prepare ad-hoc financial analysis and summarize conclusions to aid any department needing assistance
- Actively support new or upgrades to information systems implemented to improve financial reporting
- Communicate periodically with plants and other departments to obtain and compile information necessary for the financial reporting, tax filing and tax provision.
- Assist in identifying risks and controls, performing walkthroughs and documentation, implementing actions for improvement, and communicating with other departments for J-SOX (internal controls)
- Work closely with plants to provide adequate and timely support to the Parent internal auditors to issue the internal control audit report in a timely manner.
- Closely communicate with the team and management to proactively correspond to needs
- Comply with all Blommer established policies and procedures

- Proactively seek improvement and plan the workload to meet reporting deadlines.
Skills and Work Experience Requirements:
- Seven (7 ) years accounting and/or finance experience with basic knowledge of taxation
- Proficient computer skills with Microsoft Office suite
- Must have strong verbal and written communication skills
- Diverse accounting and financial analysis experience.
- Knowledge of commodities and hedging a plus
- Ability to analyze data
- Organizational skills are essential
- Expected to identify, communicate/escalate, and problem-solve as issues arise
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in business, Accounting, Finance, or similar discipline
- Other certifications are helpful (CPA, CMA, CGMA, PMP, etc.)
A reasonable estimate of the current base salary range at the time of posting is below. The base salary does not include other forms of compensation or benefits. The actual base salary within the specified range is based on several factors, including but not limited to applicant's skills, prior relevant experience, education, certifications, job responsibilities, market considerations and, if applicable, the location of the position.
This role is eligible for either a discretionary annual bonus (based on company, business unit and individual performance) and/or commission-based incentives.
Salary Range $120K-$150K
