Position Title: VP of Information Technology
Reports to: CEO
Newly created position.
JOB SUMMARY:
The VP of IT will provide technology vision and leadership for the Company. The position will provide executive sponsorship and hands on leadership in the company’s project to transform and migrate core processes and systems to SAP. This role will provide executive support for other key initiatives that require technology enabled change for success.
Responsibilities
Strategy and Planning
- Provide strategic direction to ensure the overall portfolio of current and future state technology drives business success.
- Establish effective relationships and work closely with the Board of Directors, Management Committee and Executive Team to communicate the benefits and risks of technology projects.
- Create and implement IT policies, protocols and standards in alignment with global parent company expectations.
- Establish oversight for project plans and project system requirements related to the company’s three-year Business Transformation plans.
- Oversee on-going IT security strategy in alignment with Parent Company and supported with qualified outside partners.
Project Management & Change Management
- Oversee multiple project activities, ensuring program goals are reached.
- Manage relationships with vendors, contractors, implementation partners and service providers.
- Ensure change management is being effectively planned and managed and that stakeholder engagement, communication, and all levels of required training is being effectively executed.
Business Transformation
- Provide Executive sponsorship and overall shepherding of the SAP ERP Transformation project during the formative next stages of the project including Fit-Gap, Implementation, and Support.
- Align with overall global company SAP direction, guidelines and implementation policy to ensure successful transformation of the application portfolio.
Budget Oversight
- Work with IT Team, VPs and Directors to develop the overall company Technology budget.
- Manage all of IT budget and funding channels for maximum productivity.
- Work with Parent Company and Blommer leadership to develop the overall ERP program budget and track performance against that plan.
Leadership
- Provide leadership for staff through effective communication, coaching, training and development.
- Define future state IT organizational makeup.
- Determine and develop goals in alignment with business needs, ensuring that functional area goals are aligned to strategic initiatives.
Qualifications
- 10 to 15 years of proven working experience in an IT leadership role.
- SAP ERP implementation and on-going support experience.
- Project management and organizational change management at VP or Director level.
- Manufacturing process experience, Food or Beverage industry experience is a plus.
- Successful background in leading, mentoring and developing an IT team.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with end users and stakeholders required.
