Overview:
This position plays a pivotal role in ensuring exceptional customer experiences by overseeing daily operations, managing front-of-house staff, and maintaining high service standards. Key Responsibilities
- Team Leadership & Management:
- Supervise and coordinate front-of-house staff, including cashiers and short-order cooks.
- Re-enforce the regular training and best practices to ensure staff are knowledgeable about menu offerings, service protocols, and company policies.
- Mentor and develop team members, providing constructive feedback and performance evaluations.
- Customer Service Excellence:
- Greet and welcome guests in a friendly and professional manner.
- Address and resolve customer inquiries, complaints, and special requests promptly and effectively.
- Ensure that all guest interactions reflect the company’s commitment to outstanding service.
- Operational Oversight:
- Monitor and maintain the cleanliness and organization of the front-of-house areas, including dining spaces, reception, and restrooms.
- Oversee the setup and breakdown of dining areas for daily operations and special events.
- Manage online orders and custom order pickups to optimize guest flow and minimize wait times.
- Beverage Preparation
- Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialty drinks, according to recipes and customer preferences.
- Operate and maintain espresso machines, grinders, blenders, and other equipment.
- Operational Duties
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the barista and doughnut station, equipment, and seating areas.
- Restock supplies such as coffee beans, syrups, cups, and other essentials.
- Always follow food safety and hygiene guidelines.
- Sales and Cash Handling
- Operate the POS system to process transactions accurately.
- Upsell menu items and promote daily specials or seasonal offerings.
- Collaboration & Communication:
- Liaise with kitchen and back-of-house teams to ensure seamless service and communication.
- Participate in regular staff meetings and contribute to operational improvements and strategy planning.
- Communicate effectively with management regarding operational needs, staff performance, and customer feedback.
- Sales & Financial Responsibilities:
- Promote and upsell menu items, specials, and events to enhance guest experience and drive revenue.
- Handle cash transactions, manage point-of-sale systems, and ensure accurate financial reporting as needed.
Qualifications
- Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Some college in Hospitality Management, Business, or related fields are preferred.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a customer-facing role within the hospitality or retail industry.
- Proven leadership experience, preferably in a supervisory or management position.
