We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with accounting principles for many clients at one time. This role requires a strong understanding of financial concepts, QuickBooks Online proficiency and the ability to use Excel.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and update financial records in accordance with GAAP standards.
- Perform account reconciliation to ensure accuracy of financial data.
- Prepare and post journal entries to the general ledger.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports.
- Utilize accounting software for efficient record-keeping and reporting.
- Conduct regular audits of financial data to identify discrepancies.
- Collaborate with others to ensure accurate financial reporting.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in QuickBooks (Online a plus) and Microsoft Excel
- Strong understanding of financial concepts and GAAP
- Experience with general ledger accounting and balance sheet reconciliation
- Familiarity with double entry bookkeeping and journal entries
- Ability to prepare financial reports and manage accounts payable/receivable
- Knowledge of payroll processing and bank reconciliation
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
