Position Overview :
A commercial landscape company has engaged Bloom Talent Solutions in the Fort Myers, FL, market to recruit and hire a landscape project estimator to join its landscape installation team. This could be the perfect fit if you are looking for a career with an established landscaping company with plenty of room to grow.
The Estimator will analyze new construction documents, prepare the takeoffs for those designs, and prepare bids according to the required specifications. This position is responsible for developing accurate and timely proposals and estimates for both private and public sector works projects to ensure the client is a responsive bidder.
Position Requirements :
- Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications
- Efficient problem-solving skills with a positive attitude
- Resourcefulness to produce budgetary estimates
- Analytical skills to review subcontractor bids and vendor quotes
- Ability to coordinate bidding of multiple projects
- Deadline-driven for bidding and completion of sold projects
- Excellent communication and math skills
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office and preferably landscaping-specific software
- An undergraduate degree in a related field is a plus.
