Job Description:
Bloomer Machine is seeking a detail-oriented and reliable shipping and receiving clerk to join our team working Monday through Thursday. The ideal candidate will have experience in a warehouse or logistics environment and will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely receipt and shipment of goods and materials.
Responsibilities:
- Receive incoming shipments and verify the accuracy of items and quantities against purchase orders
- Unpack and store received goods in designated areas, ensuring proper inventory management
- Prepare outgoing shipments, including packing, and labeling products according to shipping requirements
- Coordinate with carriers to arrange pick-up and delivery of shipments
- Create and maintain documentation related to shipping and receiving activities, such as bills of lading, shipping manifests, and delivery receipts
- Communicate with supplies, customers, carriers, and internal departments to coordinate shipments and resolve issues
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring compliance with safety regulations
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment as needed
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a logistics environment
- Knowledge of shipping and receiving procedures, including inventory management and documentation
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment
- Basic Computer skills
