General Job Description:
As a Digital Coach, provide technology professional development and support to teachers, staff, and students; to promote, coordinate, and manage the integration of technology in support of school curriculum/instructional pedagogy and department activities with the goal of improving student achievement and district success. As a Computer Science teacher, provide guidance and instructional experiences that are academically and developmentally appropriate for each student assigned to that classroom.

Contract Days: 190
Contract Hours: 7.5 Hours/day
Minimum Qualifications:
- Current NM Teaching License (Level II or Level III; Level III preferred)
- Bachelor’s Degree - Degree in Education Technology Preferred
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Teaching experience in integrating technology and curriculum;
- Experience with multimedia tools (LCD panels, projection systems, digital cameras, etc.);
- Experience with MS Office products (Word, Access, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Apps for Education products (Gmail, Calendar, Drive, Docs, Sheets, Slides, Sites, etc);
- Working knowledge of PC computers and software;
- Ability to work with staff at all levels of technology experience;
- Ability to provide technology instruction in both groups and one-on-one;
- Willingness to conduct and participate in district and school technology meetings;
- Willingness to travel among schools to work with teachers, staff, and students for training and collaboration;
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written;
- Flexibility, organization, decision-making, and problem solving skills;
- Interpersonal skills with diverse populations in-person and on the telephone;
- Ability to meet deadlines, work on multiple projects, and coordinate the work of others;

Essential Job Responsibilities - Digital Coach
- Provide technology training and support to staff (individuals, small groups, entire faculties, and administration) with emphasis on the integration of technology into the curriculum in both classroom and lab settings; may include assistive technology. The emphasis is on the use of technology as a learning tool and improve instructional effectiveness;
- Install, maintain, and troubleshoot curriculum software related to instruction and inventory school technology equipment;
- Provide initial, basic technical support in the administration and maintenance of all computer hardware, software, and networks as applies to training teachers, staff, and students;
- Attend conferences and other professional development opportunities to continue the district’s growth in technology and curriculum integration;
- Perform related duties consistent with job description and assignment.

Additional Duties and Responsibilities
1.Manage time appropriately.
2.Create a positive atmosphere and arrange the physical environment of the classroom for optimum learning.
3.Prepare for instruction and show written evidence of preparation.
4.Maintain accurate and complete records as required by the school district and reports progress or
lack thereof to parents in a timely manner.
5.Attend and participate in faculty and training meetings.
6.Demonstrate concern for student's well being and positive esteem.
7.Cooperate with administration, parents and co-workers.
8.Communicate accurate and up-to-date information to students in a way that enhances student
learning and includes demonstrating effective writing skills and use of standard English.
9.IEP of any special needs student assigned to that classroom.
10.Complete duties (hall, bus, etc.) as assigned.
11.Leave adequate preparations for a substitute.
Physical Requirements:
Sitting, standing, lifting and carrying (up to 50 lbs.), reaching, squatting, kneeling. Must know how to properly operate all multimedia equipment including current technology.
