The Banquet and Events Sales Manager will play a key role in driving the growth and success of the club's banquet and event offerings. This individual will be responsible for managing the sales and coordination of private events, member events, and banquets. The ideal candidate will be a results-oriented, detail-focused professional with a passion for hospitality, member engagement, and event planning. This position is crucial to ensuring revenue growth, increasing attendance, and maintaining profitability while delivering an exceptional event experience in collaboration with the Executive Chef and Food and Beverage Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
- Event Sales & Revenue Growth: Proactively sell, market, and promote the club’s banquet and event services to both members and external clients. Develop a comprehensive sales strategy to achieve revenue and attendance targets for all events, including weddings, private parties, corporate functions, and member-focused events.
- Event Planning & Coordination: Oversee all aspects of event planning, from initial inquiry to post-event follow-up, ensuring a seamless and exceptional experience for members and guests. Work closely with the Executive Chef and Food and Beverage Manager to create tailored event menus and beverage packages that align with client preferences and the club’s offerings.
- Collaboration with Committees: Actively engage with the club’s various committees to understand member interests and preferences, ensuring that member events reflect the desires and expectations of the club’s membership. Work collaboratively to develop and implement successful events that drive participation and member satisfaction.
- Event Execution: Oversee the logistics and execution of events to ensure a flawless experience. Coordinate closely with the Food and Beverage team, as well as other departments, to ensure smooth event operations. Monitor the event timeline, setup, and service standards, ensuring the event runs on schedule and exceeds expectations.
- Budgeting & Profitability: Develop and manage event budgets to ensure that events are profitable while maintaining the club's high standards of service. Make recommendations for cost-saving measures without compromising the quality of the event. Track financial performance and adjust strategies as necessary to meet or exceed revenue goals.
- Member Engagement: Cultivate strong relationships with club members to understand their event needs and preferences. Provide personalized service and ensure that member events reflect the culture and high standards of the club. Address member feedback and concerns promptly to maintain high levels of satisfaction.
- Marketing & Promotion: Collaborate with the marketing team to create promotional materials and campaigns to increase visibility and attendance for upcoming events. Utilize social media, newsletters, and other channels to highlight key events and special offerings to both members and external clients.
- Sales Reporting: Maintain accurate records of event bookings, sales, and financial performance. Provide regular reports to the Clubhouse Manager regarding event sales, member engagement, and profitability. Track key performance metrics and identify opportunities for improvement.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in event sales and coordination, with a background in hospitality or private club environments preferred.
- Strong sales and negotiation skills, with the ability to drive revenue growth and meet sales targets.
- Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple events simultaneously.
- Strong understanding of budgeting, profitability, and financial management related to event sales and execution.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with members, vendors, and team members.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by the event schedule.
- Proficiency in event management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
