Key Responsibilities:
- Classroom Instruction
- Implement lesson plans provided by the regular classroom teacher.
- Develop and deliver engaging, effective instruction when lesson plans are unavailable.
- Maintain classroom management and foster a positive learning environment.
- Collaboration and Communication
- Communicate effectively with students, staff, and administrators.
- Collaborate with teachers and support staff to address students' educational needs.
- Provide feedback to the regular teacher upon their return regarding student progress and activities during their absence.
- Supervision and Support
- Supervise students during class, transitions, lunch, recess, or other assigned duties.
- Assist with grading, preparation of instructional materials, and other classroom-related tasks as needed.
- Professional Conduct
- Adhere to district policies, procedures, and ethical standards.
- Maintain confidentiality regarding student and school information.
- Participate in required meetings, training sessions, and professional development as directed.
- Other Duties
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the principal or their designee.
Job Requirements:
- High school graduate/equivalent or higher
- Hold a valid Indiana substitute teaching permit
