Bloomington Montessori School seeks a passionate, dedicated individual to join our teaching team as an Elementary Nonlead Teacher. Join us in a meaningful, empowered team-teaching setting. We are an interactive and supportive partnership of children, families, and staff with a mission to guide students from self-discovery to global citizenship through Montessori education. Montessori is an educational pedagogy built on the principles of:

  • scientific observation of the student to guide individualized teaching
  • the value of social learning
  • the empowerment of freedom of choice and movement
  • multi-sensory education, including carefully designed hands-on materials
  • learning about the natural world
  • education of the whole child emotionally, cognitively, and academically

Bloomington Montessori School (BMS) is a privately funded, non-profit 501(c)3 school founded in 1968. We are accredited by the American Montessori Society and see education as not only a tool for learning but as a movement for social change. Our teaching staff consists of a unified group of trained Montessorians and lifelong learners. We are focused on continual development, including ongoing work as an ABAR (Anti-Bias, Anti-Racism) organization. Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: From $36,000.00 per year
