Independent Private Tutor

Blossoming Minds is a supportive and family-centered hybrid homeschool program offering academic enrichment, emotional support, and faith-based guidance. We are seeking contract tutors to join our team and work with students of various ages and grade levels. Our tutors play an important role in helping students grow in confidence and academic skill, whether they need extra support or enrichment opportunities. This will be a contract position and you will be able to choose your own hours!

Position Overview:
We are looking for experienced, reliable, and engaging tutors to work one-on-one or in small groups with students in preschool through high school. Tutors will help students in core subjects (such as reading, writing, math, and science) or specialized areas (such as test prep, foreign languages, or advanced coursework), depending on their qualifications and interests.

Responsibilities:

• Provide academic support and instruction in one or more subject areas
• Adapt tutoring sessions to the individual learning styles and goals of each student
• Track student progress and communicate with parents and/or program leaders
• Maintain a professional and encouraging learning environment
• Attend occasional check-in meetings or professional development (as needed)

Qualifications:

• Experience tutoring or teaching in your subject area(s)
• Strong knowledge of age-appropriate learning methods and curriculum
• Ability to explain concepts clearly and patiently
• Strong communication and time management skills
• Bachelor’s degree or higher preferred (or relevant experience for early childhood tutoring)

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $40.00 - $50.00 per hour
