Private Tutor

Keep Your Book Open (KYBO) is a modern, members-only private tutoring network based in Allen, TX. We have grown from servicing a small network of families in North Dallas to creating a valuable online network through which students are connected to categorized test prep content and to our expert instructors. Our online students span from DFW, to Austin, to Houston, to Denver, to Fayetteville, to Los Angeles, and more.

KYBO is seeking to amass and hone a dedicated group of qualified tutors—ideally based in North Dallas—to help meet our growing in-home and online demand. KYBO is a haven for test prep instructors who desire and deserve autonomy and competitive pay. Our students are ambitious young adults from affluent families, each with a busy schedule and rigorous course load. We are looking for flexible, crafty, and technology-oriented test prep instructors with the following credentials:

• 5 years of one-on-one tutoring experience
• Bachelor’s or Graduate Degree from a flagship university
• Test Scores in the 95% of Test Takers
• Polished, seasoned instructors comfortable working with high-end clientele

Please recognize that we will only consider those with skills beyond the average hourly tutor. You will be inquired about your personal test scores. You will be vetted for mastery with certain ACT/SAT materials. Skill in all sections is ideal, but Math/Science only or English/Reading only may be acceptable, depending on your level of mastery. Without multiple approaches to solving and/or explaining certain types of test questions, you will not be hired.

Test prep instructors at corporate firms often feel undervalued and underpaid for their efforts and expertise. Knowing this, KYBO offers a competitive compensation package that includes the following:

• $45 to $75 starting hourly rate, depending on lesson format and tutor qualification
• Mileage reimbursement for certain lessons
• Company email
• Regular training and quarterly reviews
