What are the responsibilities and job description for the Data Transformation Engineer- Active Top Secret clearance position at Blu Omega?
Blu Omega is seeking an experienced Data Engineering resource with data engineering skills and will collaborate closely with Palantir App Developers to define data requirements, source data, identify and implement transformations through Palantir pipelines, and build and use analytics tools. This role is pivotal in ensuring the seamless integration and transformation of data within the Palantir Foundry platform to support our application development efforts. This position requires you to be on-site daily in a SCIF in Washington, DC. Per contract requirements, an active DoD Top Secret is required to be considered for the role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines and ETL processes within the Palantir Foundry platform.
- Collaborate with Palantir App Developers and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver effective data solutions.
- Ensure data quality and integrity through rigorous testing and validation.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Proficiency in coding languages such as Python, Pandas, PySpark, and SQL.
- Strong understanding of ETL processes and data pipeline orchestration.
- Conceptual understanding of data schemas, relationships, types, etc. to inform data schema designs.
- Experience with data modeling, data warehousing, and big data technologies.
- Data science and analysis skills (knowledge of foundational statistics, e.g. regressions, statistical significance) and machine learning frameworks.
- Ideal but not required: Knowledge of Foundry’s ontology, data integration capabilities, and data lineage features. Proficiency in using Foundry’s code repositories, data transformation tools, and operational workflows.
Salary Range: $160,000 – $180,000
