POSITION TITLE: Area Supervisor
LOCATION: Brenham, Texas
SUMMARY POSITION DESCRIPTION:
This is an *entry level position for an area supervisor in our Ingredient Processing Departments at Blue Bell Creameries.
This position is hands-on working with equipment and managing personnel on the plant floor.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supervise team members assigned to the manufacturing line
- Work with plant management, facilities maintenance, and other plant personnel to properly set-up, run, and troubleshoot mechanical operations.
- Prepare documentation and conduct efficiency checks in the manufacturing operation
- Ensure proper food safety procedures are followed (adherence to Standard Operating Procedures and Good Manufacturing Practice)
- Ensure occupational safety of team members (adherence to company safety policies)
- *An hourly position, working 4:00 AM - 1:30 PM Monday - Friday. Required to work Saturdays on rare occassions.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree (particularly in a relevant field such as agricultural, scientific, etc.)
- Relative working experience with manufacturing or similar industry
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
