As the account specialist, you will perform assigned duties within payable / receivable, collections, and maintaining accounting records. Duties / Responsibilities : Prepares, posts, verifies, and records all customer payments and transactions related to accounts receivable. Create invoices according to company practices; submit invoices to customers. Maintains and updates customer files. Drafts correspondence for standard past-due accounts and collections. Identifies delinquent accounts by reviewing files, and contacts accountholders to request payment. Collect receipts and expense credit cards. Floor plan funding and balancing Petty cash tracking for all locations. Balance short-term and long-term debt. Balance and collect outstanding rebates and warranty payments. Prepare reports for management. Required Skills / Abilities : Having proficiency in Excel, attention to detail, organizational skills as well as customer service skills are a plus to excel in this position. Education and Experience : Accounting or finance degree. One year or more experience preferred but not required. Physical Requirements : Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
