Applications Engineering Manager Job Summary The Applications Engineering Manager will lead a team of Application Engineers in supporting sales and delivering solutions to clients with complex operational and material handling challenges. This role requires a strong technical background, leadership skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage a team of Application Engineers, providing guidance, training, and development opportunities. Collaborate with sales teams to understand client needs and develop solutions that meet those needs. Oversee the development of proposals, including engineering, RFP development, supplier qualification, and estimation processes. Ensure that all proposals and solutions meet the company's technical and quality standards. Manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely and successful delivery. Develop and maintain relationships with clients, suppliers, and internal stakeholders. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies, applying this knowledge to improve solutions and services. Participate in business development activities, including identifying new business opportunities and developing strategies to pursue them. Qualifications, Skills, and Abilities Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. 10 years of experience in the material handling industry with at least 5 years on the pre-sales side. Strong technical background in mechanical engineering, controls, and warehouse execution software systems. Extensive knowledge of warehouse and distribution center operations. Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop team members. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with clients, suppliers, and internal stakeholders. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines. Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex technical problems and develop creative solutions.
