"Join the Movement" encapsulates our commitment to a workplace culture that thrives on collaboration, celebrates diversity, and empowers every individual to contribute to something greater than themselves.POSITION SUMMARY : This position will primarily focus on managing Client engagements and conducting analysis, modeling, research, solution development, presentation creation, and delivering Client value.PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE : Project Management of one or more Client engagements simultaneouslyManaging and collaborating with internal and Client stakeholders during engagementsLeading large and complex operations and distribution center design projectsDevelopment of Client deliverables and presentationsStoring, gathering, and analyzing data using MS Excel and MS AccessBeing a subject matter expert in the definition of viable operations concepts based on volume, vertical market, distribution channel and Client business objectivesLeading integrated design (or Detailed Design) effortsManaging project financials by means of creating budgets and timelines, and overseeing expenses and staffingTraining others on problem-solving approachesWriting and delivering high-quality documentation and analysisDemonstrating specific technical expertise, e.g., Network Modeling, DC Design, Operations Implementation, etc.Data modeling using Fortna’s proprietary & package tools for financial and operational modelingSupporting delivery of solutions including business process redesign, distribution center (DC) design, organizational design, etc.Adhering to Fortna’s Operations Design methodologyCross team communication within the SCS teams and broader teams during project work to ensure alignmentFostering business case thinking within the project team and the ability to develop a business caseLeading core team meetings and steering team updatesOffering business point of view during project efforts and deliverablesDeveloping and supporting internal business systems and processesLeading and supporting internal project teams in the development of tools, templates, and methodologiesWriting and contributing to white papersDemonstrating leadership by providing vision, direction, and guidance to Client teams, and by overseeing and delegating responsibilities to AssociatesResearching as requestedDesigning and leading focus groupsREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS : Bachelor’s degree with evidence of strong performance in engineering, logistics, and operationsMinimum 5 years of experience in distribution center (DC) environmentExperience in performing industrial engineering work in complex supply chainsSupply chain consulting related work experience with a minimum of 4-6 years cumulative experience in consulting services not including internal consulting rolesProven involvement with business case developmentStrong project management and problem-solving skillsStrong level of business acumenAbility to manage overall project efforts and Client relationshipsAbility to employ persuasion skills with discretion and considerationAbility to coach, lead, and manage othersAbility to manage internal effortsStrong analytical skillsAbility to work effectively on a team and support high levels of performanceHigh level comprehension of financial analysisExcellent research and knowledge management skillsAdvanced collaboration and communication skills, both written and verbalDesire to continually add value to and ensure accuracy and quality in all work performedAbility to perform essential functions of the jobTechnical expertise (e.g., Network Modeling, DC Design, Operations Implementation)Ability to travel nationally and internationallyDESIRED QUALIFICATIONS : Master’s degree in business, supply chain, operations, engineering or related fieldCPIM or CSCP certification from Association for Operations Management (APICS)PMP Certification from Project Management Institute (PMI)Supply Chain certification training, e.g., The Logistics Institute at Georgia Tech, IIEThe base salary range for this role is $100,700 to $151,100. This base salary range represents the low and high end of the base salary range for this position. Actual base salary offered will vary based on various factors including but not limited to location, level, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and performance.This job description describes the general nature and level of work expected of a person assigned to this position.
