Position Purpose: The HR Generalist II will have both administrative and strategic responsibilities, helping the company to plan and administer important functions, such as training and development, compensation and benefits, compliance, and more.

Position Type: Full Time

Pay Range: $70,000 - $110,000

(Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.)

Location: Lafayette CO & Hybrid

Job Responsibilities:

  • Build strong relationships and maintain a positive work environment by fostering effective communication and promoting employee engagement
  • Assist with ensuring compliance with state/federal/local employment regulations for all employees
  • Support new employee onboarding, including: Orientation, HRIS management with strong attention to detail, manager communication, new hire check-ins, benefits enrollment follow-up, etc.
  • Supports benefit administration including strong knowledge of all benefit plans along with supporting BCT benefit related policies; answer benefits questions, address benefits concerns
  • Provide employees with accurate and consistent interpretation of personnel policies and procedures to ensure proper compliance to rules, regulations, and laws
  • Serve as general support for all employee questions and concerns – answer/assist where possible, guiding in the correct direction when needed
  • Process unemployment claims: filling out paperwork, communication(s) and documentation
  • Maintain personnel files in compliance with state, federal and local laws as well as best practices. Ensures files are created, complete and in proper filing system. Completes annual audits to ensure compliance
  • Maintain accurate HRIS employee records and data across all systems
  • Support necessary reporting requests from other departments
  • Assist with building and maintaining accurate process documents across the department
  • Participate in development of HR objectives and systems, including metrics, queries, and standard reports
  • Handle verification of employment requests
  • Facilitate and support Blue Canyon Technologies’ Guide program
  • Work with the admin staff to manage employee recognition and subsequent rewards
  • Build & administer company-wide surveys and support distillation of data gathered from surveys for leadership review
  • Work closely with HR team members on workplace investigations by helping to document, and create solutions for internal employee conflicts with strict adherence to confidentiality and protection of privacy
  • Assures discretion and confidentiality of employee concerns, records, and communications
  • Contribute to organizational development initiatives.
  • Support offboarding process for exiting employees
  • Organize yearly flu shot clinic
  • Help support and maintain talent and onboarding management processes.
  • Collaborates with the human resources and recruiting teams to develop effective recruitment, and onboarding strategies
  • Collaborate with the HR Manager, Recruiting Manager, Payroll Manager and/or HR Director on special projects
  • Other responsibilities as assigned

 

Required Qualifications/Education:

  • 2 - 5 years progressively responsible HR Generalist experience including: technical recruiting, employee relations, benefit administration, employee conflict management, and maintenance of employee databases.
  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field preferred.
  • 2 years of employee relations experience working with both employees and people leaders
  • Demonstrated experience in a related field may be considered in lieu of education.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office with including knowledge of Excel formulas for data auditing.
  • Keen attention to detail, highly organized, excellent time management required
  • Self-starter, resourceful and adaptable mindset
  • Strong problem-solving skills and critical thinking
  • Strong & effective written and verbal communication skills including the ability to give and receive feedback to improve performance and development
  • Excellent listening and reading comprehension
  • Strong awareness of confidentiality, sensitivity, and neutrality
  • Adequate knowledge of applicable employment-related laws, regulations, and procedures.
  • Ability to complete job duties with medium oversight.
  • Any equivalent combination of training and experience that provides evidence that the applicant possesses the required

Working Conditions:

This job operates in a professional office environment, but in a manufacturing company. This role uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, scanners, filing cabinets and fax machines.  BCT anticipates the application window closing approximately 40 days from the date the notice was posted. However, factors such as candidate flow and business necessity may require BCT to shorten or extend the application window.

Specific vision abilities are required by this job which includes close vision, distance vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus.
