Overview : The HR Payroll Manager oversees HR and payroll functions across multiple locations, ensuring compliance, efficiency, and employee satisfaction. This role manages payroll processing, labor relations, compliance, and system improvements while leading a team to support company objectives.
Key Responsibilities :
- Oversee payroll administration for hourly and salaried employees, including taxes, deductions, and compliance
- Manage and support payroll team, ensuring accurate and timely processing
- Advise on compensation programs and labor relations issues, including negotiations and grievance handling
- Maintain compliance with payroll laws, wage regulations, and company policies
- Assist with audits, reporting (W-2, ACA), and process improvements
- Develop and implement HR policies and procedures
- Provide employee support, resolve issues, and conduct performance evaluations
- Lead HR / payroll training and process improvement initiatives
- Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field
- 8 years of HR experience, including 3 years in management
- Strong knowledge of payroll systems, SAP and Paylocity preferred, and compliance regulations
- Experience in union environments and labor relations
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
