The IT Purchasing Manager will spend their time focused on contract renewals, amendments and new purchase within the IT spend category. Strategic Sourcing (7-Step), Negotiations, Contract Management, Project Management, Stakeholder Managment
- 5-10 year of experience within Indirect Procurement
- Previous experience managing large, complex IT sourcing projects throughout the Source-to-Pay (S2P) lifecycle
- Ability to execute strategic sourcing (7-step) project autonomously with little direction or oversight
- Bachelor s degree (MBA in Supply Chain Management preferred)
- 5-10 years of experience within Procurement. Must have prior experience within IT
- 5-10 years of relevant Information Technology (IT) related Purchasing Experience (hardware, software, telecom, etc.) - performing strategic sourcing, cost analysis, negotiations and contract negotiations in a procurement environment
- Previous ERP systems and purchase order processing experience Coupa preferred
- Previous Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) system experience Ironclad preferred
Qualifications:
- Skilled in negotiating software (on-prem & SaaS), hardware, and telecom contracts, with a focus on minimal legal team involvement.
- Partnered with stakeholders to meet technical requirements, track milestones, and manage sourcing progress.
- Deep understanding of the 7-step strategic sourcing process and Sourcing-to-Pay (S2P) best practices.
- Managed the full sourcing process, including supplier identification, RFx execution, bid analysis, and contract negotiation.
- Independently managed new purchases, renewals, and amendments under tight deadlines.
- Led year-end renewals, driving project plans and achieving cost savings.
- Analyzed supplier quotations based on detailed cost breakdowns.
- Led sourcing projects, developed strategies, managed RFPs, and presented recommendations to senior leadership for approval.
