Blue Cow Ice Cream, Co. is seeking a General Manager to operate our Greengate (West Short Pump) store.
We’re looking for a proven leader who will be the gold standard for customer service and operations, making our shops the best place to visit and Blue Cow an awesome place to work.
Position Overview
The Shop Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day at their shop with a keen focus on operational and service excellence. You'll hire, develop, and lead a highly functioning team of 15 , bringing a positive energy to the experience for both the team and our customers.
Primary Job Responsibilities:
- Lead by example as a working member of the team, performing all job duties to ensure our teams are delivering excellent customer experiences
- Own the hiring program - recruit, train, develop and manage an inspired and empowered retail team dedicated to making our shops a great place to visit and work
- Manage sales and labor budgets - take ownership of financial performance and store goals
- Ensure the shop is clean, inviting and in compliance with safety and sanitation standards
- Analyze data to drive decisions on labor, ice cream and supplies ordering, and actively control spending. Place purchase orders for necessary supplies, commodities, equipment, and service contracts to keep the shop functioning at 100%
- Partner with management to drive continuous process improvement in store operations - taking feedback and collaborating well with others
- Work creatively and proactively with marketing to develop the brand and drive sales in the local community
- Embrace and communicate our company culture and values, enforce Blue Cow policies to drive exceptional experiences to both our customers and team members
- Complete month end inventories and required financial reporting
- Own the retail shop conditions including required maintenance, service contracts, etc.
Requirements:
- Prior management and customer service experience (4 years)
- Strong work ethic and desire to go above and beyond
- Great communication skills - both written and verbal
- Leads by example and excels in a team environment
- Is creative, resourceful, and organized
- Excellent problem solver who takes ownership to find solutions as challenges arise
- Can effectively work under pressure and deals with adversity with grace
- Reliable transportation and a clean driving record
