Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas is looking to add to our Transformation office and has a new opportunity for a Change Practitioner. This position plays a key role in leading and executing enterprise organizational change management activities. This position is responsible for developing and implementing strategies to ensure that organizational change initiatives are aligned with business goals, effectively executed, and adopted by employees. The position works closely with senior leadership to ensure alignment of change efforts with organizational goals and drive successful outcomes. This role requires greater independence and the ability to mentor junior team members.

Compensation
This position will be offered at either the Change Practitioner or Sr Change Practitioner level, based on experience. Salary listed is for the respective positions.
$72,000 - $86,000
Exempt Grade 15
$83,280 - $99,000

What you’ll do
· Change Management Strategy and Planning: Lead the development and execution of change management strategies and plans aligned with project objectives. Conduct assessments to understand the impact on processes, systems, and employees.
· Stakeholder Engagement: Identify and engage key stakeholders. Develop communication plans and strategies to involve and support stakeholders throughout the change process. Collaborate with leadership to gain alignment.
· Change Execution and Support: Manage the day-to-day execution of change initiatives. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective change integration and adoption. Provide coaching and training to others in the organization.
· Communication and Reporting: Create and deliver communication materials that convey the benefits and objectives of change. Regularly report on the progress of change initiatives to leadership and key stakeholders.
· Post Change Evaluation: Evaluate the effectiveness of change initiatives post-implementation. Report on business outcomes and make recommendations for adjustments to strategies and tactics based on feedback.
What you need
· Bachelor’s degree in business, human resources, organizational development, or a related field.
· Minimum of 4 years’ experience in change management, project management, or a related field.
· In lieu of degree, minimum of 6 years’ progressive, relevant experience within change management or related field.
· Change management certification preferred; certification required to be pursued within the first year of employment.
· Change Management Principles: Advanced knowledge of change management methodologies (e.g., Prosci, Kotter).
· Strategic Thinking & Planning: Ability to think strategically and align change initiatives with broader organizational goals and objectives. Skilled in developing long-term change management plans that include all aspects of change (communication, training, resistance management, etc.).
· Stakeholder Engagement & Management: Skilled in conducting stakeholder analysis and developing targeted engagement strategies to address different needs and expectations.
· Communication Skills: Highly effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create clear, concise, and persuasive messages for diverse audiences.
· Coaching & Mentoring: Experience in coaching and mentoring junior team members to develop their change management skills and knowledge.
· Decision Making Skills: Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
· Collaboration: Strong ability to work collaboratively with project teams.
· Adaptability: Experience working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
· Ability to sit for extended periods of time
