Compensation
$117,000 - $134,000

- Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas offers excellent competitive compensation with the goal of retaining and growing talented team members. The salary range for this role is a good faith estimate, it is estimated based on what a successful candidate might be paid. All offers presented to candidates are carefully reviewed to ensure fair, equitable pay by offering competitive salaries that align with the individual's skills, education, experience, and training. The range may vary above or below the stated amounts.
What you’ll do
- Compliance Management: Uses comprehensive compliance knowledge and expertise to act independently while guiding and training others on achieving full compliance with applicable rules and regulations.
- Regulatory Oversight: Monitor and interpret federal and state laws and regulations affecting the health insurance industry, ensuring that the organization understands relevant obligations, and remains compliant with all applicable laws.
- Policy Development: Develop, implement, and maintain compliance policies and procedures that align with regulatory requirements and best practices.
- Risk Assessment: Conduct regular compliance risk assessments and audits to identify areas of potential non-compliance and recommend corrective actions.
- Training and Education: Develop and deliver compliance training programs for employees to ensure understanding and adherence to regulatory requirements and company policies.
- Liaison with Regulatory Bodies: Serve as the primary contact for regulatory agencies, managing communications and reporting obligations. Prepare and submit required regulatory filings and reports.
- Continuous Improvement: Foster a culture of compliance by identifying opportunities for continuous improvement in processes, systems, and reporting mechanisms.
- Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of compliance professionals, providing guidance and support in their day-to-day activities and career development.
- Incident Management: Oversee the investigation of compliance-related incidents and coordinate with internal stakeholders to implement appropriate resolutions and preventive measures.
- Reporting: Prepare and present compliance reports to senior management, compliance oversight committees, and the board, highlighting compliance status, risks, and recommendations.
What you need
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, law, public health, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in regulatory compliance or related field
- Minimum 5 years leadership or management experience
Bonus if you have
- Strong knowledge of federal and state health insurance regulations preferred
