The Membership Systems Tester will develop and execute test cases for Membership systems and applications pertaining to production development, enhancements, reported incidents, and identified bugs or defects. In tandem with the Membership Systems Specialists maintain, groom, and validate the data consumed by, extracted from, or utilized by Membership Systems.

What you’ll do
Responsibilities:
- Maintain a working knowledge of Membership systems that are both current and in development, with the ability to use and test multiple systems/applications.
- Maintain knowledge and perform roles within an Agile methodology such as system integration testing, client user acceptance testing, and end-to-end testing.
- Perform thorough testing of system issues, new products, system implementations, and changes or enhancements to systems supporting Membership functions.
- Utilize Rally system to write or access test case details, run test cases, and document results of testing, including accurately reporting defects or bugs.
- Identify and document inaccuracies and errors found during data validation and maintenance efforts.
- Skills to understand the various methods of system testing and writing of test cases, including regression testing, negative testing, exploratory testing, etc.
- Establish and complete test data requested from systems specialists as well as other areas of the company via the test data request process.
- Attend all scheduled unit and department meetings as required including daily stand-up meetings other necessary IT development meetings and demos.
- Effectively partner with production users, Membership System Specialists, and IT staff to meet objectives and provide optimal customer satisfaction.

- Must be able to manage multiple tasks, work independently, and work collaboratively with integrated areas to meet deadlines as well as department and corporate goals.
- Ability to interpret business requirements to critically think through and test systems changes.
- Requires significant analytical and organizational skills to perform at a high degree of accuracy.
- Ability to analyze, present facts, problem solve and make decisions in a logical manner that may be documented by established procedures.
- Ability to understand Membership policies, procedures, and operating manuals and capacity to gain a knowledge level necessary to perform testing on new applications or systems
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- One year of experience required working for a Health Insurance company or working with health insurance systems.
- One year Membership experience is preferred.
- One year of testing or quality assurance of software development experience is preferred.
- Preferred knowledge of Membership applications such as BluECM, Group Configurator, Eligibility, Finance, Common Request Screen, etc. as well as other systems that interact with Membership applications such as GRIPP, GRIPP Test Harness, Rating Configurator, Claims or Customer Service applications, etc.
Other Job Functions:
- Performs job related projects as assigned by leadership.
- Represents the Membership Department on cross-divisional teams or projects impacting Membership Systems or processes.
