Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Car Rental Fleet Manager to oversee our fleet operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the maintenance, safety, and efficiency of our vehicles while ensuring compliance with all regulations. This role requires strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to optimizing fleet performance.
Duties
- Develop and implement fleet management policies and procedures to ensure operational efficiency.
- Monitor vehicle maintenance schedules and coordinate repairs to minimize downtime.
- Conduct regular inspections of vehicles to ensure safety standards are met.
- Manage the acquisition and disposal of fleet vehicles in alignment with company needs.
- Oversee fuel management programs and monitor fuel consumption for cost efficiency.
- Maintain accurate records of vehicle usage, maintenance, and expenses.
- Collaborate with drivers to address any concerns related to vehicle performance or safety.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations regarding fleet operations.
- Prepare reports on fleet performance metrics for management review.
Experience
- Proven experience in fleet management or a similar role is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance practices and safety regulations.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Proficient in using fleet management software, and Google workspace.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with team members and external partners.
- A valid driver's license is required; additional certifications related to fleet management are a plus.
