A high-profile urban mixed-use project in Delray Beach is entering Phase 2 of its $400M development, and we are seeking an experienced Project Manager to co-lead portions of this next phase. This is a career-defining opportunity to work on-site daily, embedded within the in-house general contracting team of a well-established owner/builder.
Role Overview:
As Project Manager, you will work on-site daily alongside another Project Manager and the broader GC team, overseeing specific portions of Phase 2 to ensure seamless execution. You will be deeply involved in scheduling, budgeting, subcontractor coordination, and quality control, reporting directly to the senior leadership of the GC and ownership team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Co-lead assigned portions of Phase 2 of a large-scale, urban mixed-use development
- Serve as an on-site leader, working daily with the in-house GC and field teams
- Manage scheduling, cost control, subcontractor coordination, and procurement for designated project areas
- Collaborate closely with the existing Project Manager, site superintendents, and GC leadership
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, quality assurance protocols, and Florida building codes
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, city officials, and trade partners to drive project milestones
- Proactively monitor progress, resolve field issues, and mitigate risks to keep work on schedule
Qualifications:
- 5 years of experience in project management for ground-up construction
- Proven success managing large-scale commercial or mixed-use developments
- Strong understanding of Florida building codes, permitting, and construction practices
- On-site leadership experience, working directly with general contractors and field teams
- Ability to coordinate across teams and maintain clear communication between ownership, GC, and trade partners
- Proficiency in budgeting, scheduling, and contract negotiations
- Experience with Procore or similar construction management software is a plus
