What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Property Manager position at Blue Frog Property Management?
This role is responsible for assisting with the day-to-day property management for a portfolio of properties at Blue Frog Property Management. We are looking for someone who is customer service focused, has high attention to detail, and is proactively willing to go the extra mile to help the team.
Tasks include:
- Assist owners and residents in our Fox Valley zone in a timely and professional manner while building customer loyalty.
- Pro-actively communicate with owners in regards to their properties.
- Monitor all aspects of the properties you manage including monitoring vacancies, upcoming move outs, maintenance, etc.
- Visit properties periodically to assess current conditions and recommend improvements where necessary.
- Assist with monthly meetings with owners discussing their portfolio performance including vacancies, upcoming move outs, delinquencies, and financials.
- Assist with security deposit deductions and returns after residents vacate
- Ensure resident concerns are being responded to timely and thoroughly.
- Following up on lease violations to make sure they are corrected in a timely fashion.
- Answering the phone, emails, and property management software (Buildium) tasks in a timely manner.
- Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:
- Highly preferred candidates have 2 years of experience working in property management
- Candidates must be able to work fulltime, M-F
- Comfortable working independently with a high level of attention to detail
- Must be knowledgeable about state and local rental laws and processes
- Must be able to communicate with current owners, potential owners, and residents in a way that inspires confidence and builds customer loyalty
- Ability to follow through on all commitments.
- Ability to follow Corporate policies and recommend improvements as appropriate
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment as a team player with the willingness to help the business however needed
- Ability to deal with difficult situations and people in a positive and helpful way
- Excellent administrative skills (professionalism on the phone, e-mail etiquette, organized, etc.)
- Must be well-spoken and have the ability to hold people accountable to their obligations
- Must have the ability to become proficient in Buildium, Tenant Turner, Happy Inspector, and other supporting systems
- Strong computer skills including proficiency in MLS, Microsoft Word and Excel
Compensation:
- $22 - $26 per hour
- Eligible for companies Group Health Insurance plan.
- You will receive paid time off (PTO). These hours are earned on a pro-rated basis throughout the year
- You will be eligible to participate in the Company’s SIMPLE IRA Retirement Plan effective the first day of the month following, or coinciding with, one full calendar month of employment. To be eligible to participate, you must also be at least 18 years of age
