Role Description
The Quality Technician is responsible for overseeing quality-assurance processes, testing products, and recording data during product development and manufacturing.
Essential Functions
a. Provide quality assurance support to necessary manufacturing operations for mature products, new products introduction, new process and process changes.
b. Perform roving quality inspections and provide operator support.
c. Use inspection equipment including but not limited to check fixtures, calipers, micrometers, hardness tester, and CMM.
d. Perform weld integrity inspections (i.e. destructive testing, cut and etch).
e. Assist with customer complaints and/or reported quality issues (internal & external).
f. Assist with root cause analysis, corrective action plans and confirmation activity.
g. Monitor and implement corrective action activities.
h. Apply SPC methods for analyzing data, if needed, to evaluate the current process and process changes as well as to monitor critical processes to ensure product quality is maintained and/or improved.
i. Provide input for the development of training methods and documents to support manufacturing personnel on quality related process changes/implementations, inspection and testing activities.
j. Communicate / educate current or new program requirements to current and new production personnel in a way that ensures a repeatable quality result.
k. Oversee inspection (examination) of incoming materials, ensuring that they meet requirements.
l. Conduct internal audits to the ISO 9001 standard.

Qualifications
a. Good understanding of manufacturing environment and associated processes within the Automotive Industry.
b. Ability to communicate both upward and downward effectively and professionally both in writing and verbally.
c. Good skills with documenting processes and technical documents.
d. Good understanding in the use of Microsoft office.
e. Initiative to be trained to provide the best service possible to our customers (i.e., BGM operators & External customers).
f. Humble attitude with willingness to serve others.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
