Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently while adhering to all traffic laws and company policies. This role requires strong organizational skills and the ability to maintain a high level of professionalism while on the road. The Truck Driver will also play a key role in ensuring that vehicles are properly maintained and that inventory is managed effectively.
Duties
- Operate trucks to transport goods to designated locations in a timely manner.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including inventory control and cash handling as needed.
- Collaborate with team members in sales and service departments to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Perform basic automotive repairs and diagnostics as necessary to keep vehicles in optimal condition.
- Organize loads efficiently for transport, ensuring proper stock management throughout the delivery process.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and other team members, utilizing bilingual skills when applicable.
Qualifications
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) required.
- Proven experience as a truck driver or in a similar role preferred.
- Strong knowledge of automotive repair and service practices is a plus.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and responsibly.
- Familiarity with automotive diagnostics is advantageous.
