Job Summary
The Beverage Director is responsible for overseeing the beverage operations within our two bar programs, Restaurant 1796 and Proud Mary's Speak Easy. This role involves developing and implementing beverage programs, managing inventory, and ensuring exceptional service standards. The Beverage Director will collaborate closely with kitchen staff and management to create a cohesive dining experience that aligns with the establishment's culinary vision.
Duties
- Develop and manage the beverage menu, including wine, beer, cocktails, and non-alcoholic options.
- Conduct regular inventory assessments to maintain optimal stock levels and minimize waste.
- Train and supervise staff on beverage preparation, service techniques, and food handling practices.
- Collaborate with culinary teams to ensure beverage pairings complement menu offerings.
- Implement cost control measures to maximize profitability while maintaining quality standards.
- Stay updated on industry trends and customer preferences to innovate the beverage program.
- Conduct interviews and assist in hiring qualified staff for beverage service roles.
- Ensure compliance with health regulations and safety standards in all beverage operations.
