Job Description:
E&E Industries is hiring a self-motivated, skilled Project Coordinator with a minimum of 1 to 2 years of experience managing government contracts and/or commercial projects. The successful candidate will work directly with clients to ensure deliverables fall with the applicable scope and budget. Additionally, he or she will use their experience managing junior staff members and coordinate with other departments to ensure all aspects of each project are completed. Duties & Responsibilities:
- Manages contracts/projects to ensure work scope, schedule, quality, and budget objectives are met. Using Microsoft Excel, Project for tracking purposes.
- Be able to work with an ERP, NetSuite.
- Establishes and maintains an excellent working relationship with our project customers.
- Ensures project teams comply with all published and directed health, safety, environmental, and worksite cleanliness requirements, OSHA standards.
- Ensures purchase orders issued to subcontractors with specified requirements.
- Coordinates with resource providers to staff the team with the correct skills at the correct times within the project schedule.
- Coordinates with management (as needed) to define the following day’s activities and to communicate the plan to the production team.
- Responsible for the administrative/operational leadership of a project within the guidelines set by the General Manager and customer.
- Keeps Production Schedule updated with weekly status.
- Ensures subcontractors comply with all contract provisions including adherence to schedule.
- Monitors material ordering and receipt status to ensure the project schedule is not impacted.
- Provides project oversight and ensures all requisite documentation is completely and accurately filled in and turned into the customer on time.
- Alerts management any time scope, schedule, quality, or cost objectives are becoming jeopardized. Communicates with Senior Management with timely updates.
- Communicates with commercial and government project level management relative to projects.
- Communicates orally and in writing with all levels of customer representatives, sub-contractors, and vendors.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Education and/or Experience
- Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree with an emphasis in Project Management, Business, Engineering, or equivalent experience
- Has 1-2 years of related experience
- 1 years of experience managing Government Contracts
- PMP certification is desirable
- Applies in-depth professional-level knowledge to independently solve a full range of complex problems
- Demonstrated track record of coordinating and managing projects
- Armed Forces experience is highly desired
- Has a trade skill: electrician, mechanical skills, HVAC, etc a plus
