Overview
We are seeking a dedicated, PT/Temporary Security Officer to join our team. We are looking for guards to travel to the Asheville/Boone, NC area and also to work local when we have jobs. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients, employees, and visitors. This role requires strong observational skills, the ability to respond effectively to incidents, and a commitment to upholding safety protocols. This position is an On-Call, as needed basis. When clients request coverage, we call our Officers to fill in.
Duties
- Monitor and patrol assigned areas to prevent and detect signs of intrusion or unusual activity.
- Respond promptly to alarms and emergency situations, ensuring appropriate action is taken.
- Conduct regular inspections of premises, including CCTV surveillance systems.
- Enforce rules and regulations to maintain order and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
- Provide assistance during emergencies, including administering first aid or CPR as needed.
- Prepare detailed reports on incidents, observations, and activities during shifts.
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies when necessary for investigations or emergencies.
- Engage in conflict management tactics to de-escalate potentially volatile situations.
- Participate in ongoing training programs to stay updated on security practices and technologies.
Skills
- Strong conflict management skills to handle difficult situations calmly and effectively.
- Proficiency in operating CCTV systems and conducting surveillance activities.
- Knowledge of law enforcement procedures and protocols is highly desirable.
- Certification in first aid and CPR is preferred; willingness to obtain certification if not currently held.
- Experience in loss prevention techniques is a plus.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in high-pressure environments.
- Strong observational skills with attention to detail for identifying potential security risks.
- Military experience or certification may be advantageous but is not required.

Pay: $16.00 - $22.00 per hour
