What are the responsibilities and job description for the Snow Groomer position at Blue Mountain Resort?
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR: Do you love the thrills and beautiful white slopes of the winter season? We are seeking a punctual, detail-oriented individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is excited for an opportunity to create guests for life. This individual will be joining our mountain ops team who are passionate about creating the best winter conditions for our guests!
REQUIREMENTS:
- An ability to provide outstanding guest service.
- A minimum of 1 year of heavy equipment operating experience.
- Valid Driver's License.
- A knowledge and enthusiasm for snowmaking, trail building, and other construction operations is highly preferred.
- Timely and reliable attendance even in inclement weather
- A willingness to work extended hours as needed including nights and up to 6 days per week.
- Must be 18 years of age.
WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT
- Responsible for the operation of snow cats under the direction of the shift supervisor
- Conducts pre- and post-shift vehicle and equipment inspections.
- Logs inspection observations and reports any issues to vehicle maintenance personnel in a timely fashion.
- Reports any grooming or safety obstacles to the shift supervisor.
- Keep working areas and vehicles always clean and clutter-free.
- Maintains productivity working both independently and within a team.
- Maintains a knowledge of risk management and OSHA standards.
- Attends staff meetings as required.
