The Role:
Blue Owl is seeking a Senior Associate to join its Institutional Business Development Global Operations team. This individual will support the growth of the centralized Diligence and RFP Team for the firm. The role involves working with senior members of the organization to aggregate Blue Owl Operational and Investment related content and updates used in client diligence and reporting. The ideal candidate is collaborative and detail-oriented with an ability to work succeed in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities:
- Support the growth of Blue Owl’s centralized operational and investment due diligence function across Credit, GP Strategic Capital, Real Estate and Insurance Solutions asset classes.
- Directly impact fundraising efforts and ongoing client service through the investment and operational due diligence response process
- Develop and deliver due diligence materials and responses for ODD pitchbooks, due diligence questionnaires (“DDQs”), and requests for proposals (“RFPs”)
- Maintain the firm’s centralized online repository of content and collaborate with various teams to coordinate timely and accurate completion of all diligence materials through the online tool
- Proactively build relationships with subject matter experts across the firm to keep abreast of updates and new developments throughout our rapidly growing firm
- Become familiar with and be able to communicate details around fund products and strategies including investment level information.
- Develop a deep understanding of all Operational functions across the firm including internal processes and policies for due diligence purposes
- Support the maintenance of consultant database entries from both content and data reporting perspectives
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required
- 3-5 years of experience in financial services required (leveraged finance, private equity, real estate, alternative asset management, investment banking and/or capital markets experience strongly preferred)
- Exceptional work ethic, positive attitude and collaborative team-oriented disposition
- Highly effective communication skills, he or she will be asked to develop strong working relationships with nearly all business units across the firm, including senior management.
- Self-driven individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment where multi-tasking and the ability to prioritize are required
- Excellent attention to detail with high standard for precision
- Resourceful, solutions-oriented problem-solver
- High degree of discretion with the ability to handle proprietary and/or sensitive information regularly and with integrity
- Strong working knowledge of Office Suite
It is expected that the base annual salary range for this New York City-based position will be $115,000 to $140,000. Actual salaries may vary based on factors, such as skill, experience, and qualification for the role. Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus, based on factors such as individual and team performance.
