Digital Media Planner & Buyer (7 Years Media Agency Experience Only / NJ Candidates Only)

Job Function : Paid Social Media Planning, Buying & Campaign Execution

Location : Summit, New Jersey, United States

The Digital Media Planner & Buyer will work collaboratively with agency teams across a portfolio of consumer accounts and strive to produce outstanding results that deliver on campaign goals. You are a champion of the cross-screen planning process. Your work is consistently held to your own high standards and you strive to maintain best-in-class status. Anything less falls short.

Digital / Social Media Strategy, Planning & Buying

  • Collaborate with digital / social teams on plan development and execution
  • Strong understanding of media tools to deliver on competitive analysis, planning, buying and campaign performance reporting, including insights and optimization aspects of Digital and Paid Social Media
  • Bring fresh thinking & inspiration into the Strategic Process
  • Write cohesive media plans, ensuring digital strategy fits into overall brand communication goals
  • Monitor trends, tools, opportunities within digital environments, apply knowledge to campaigns
  • Demonstrated experience across paid social channels (i.e. video, display, paid social, gaming, retail, meta…)
  • Keen eye for detail and understanding budget restraints
  • Work alongside analytics team, delivering client-facing performance reports
  • On top of the shifting media landscape when reaching kids, moms, caregivers.

Campaign Execution & Management

  • Set up campaigns across tactical mix of media
  • Manage campaign assets
  • Oversee trafficking and tagging to ensure campaigns are set up properly
  • Ensure accuracy of production to ensure all materials are received to spec
  • Delegate and provide campaign post-launch screenshot decks, links, proof of placement
  • Work alongside digital team on mid-campaign reconciliation, billing, pacing, brand safety
  • Analysis & Reporting

  • Monitor and report on media campaigns on an ongoing basis, providing optimization opportunities and challenges to internal teams, media partners, and clients
  • Monitor ad verification and ad server data to provide critical thinking and analysis, draw conclusions, and discover actionable implications
  • Responsible for providing data for dashboards, as needed by account
  • Effectively communicate optimization strategies, challenges, and opportunities across platforms

  • Experienced in marketing consumer products at mass retail and direct-to-consumer

  • Preferred Skills & Experience

  • 7 years hands-on paid social and digital media strategy, planning, buying agency experience
  • Knowledge of digital channels / buying methods (video, display, gaming, programmatic, paid social; retail media, gaming, etc.)
  • Familiarity with marketing principles, analytics and concepts
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience in negotiating and constructing digital media plans
  • Experience in setting up campaigns across partner platforms
  • Competence within systems and tools related to the media planning process
  • Mastery of third-party ad server and ad verifications
  • Familiarity with biddable channels and partner direct
