Purpose
Successfully lead projects at Indy plant and other Blue Polymers locations by planning and implementing capital investment projects as needed. Also, support day-to-day projects that will enhance the safety, performance, and efficiency of the plant positions.
Areas of Responsibility / Tasks
Performance must reflect appropriate level of expertise and achievement of the desired results for the items listed below:
The Project Manager is ultimately responsible for managing the defined project scope on behalf of the partners and ensuring that it is delivered safely on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
General Policy:
a. Develop and implement a project execution plan that defines the project scope, objectives, timelines, budget, and quality requirements.
b. Manage project resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials.
c. Monitor project progress and performance against the project plan and implement corrective actions, as necessary. Identify potential project risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
d. Develop and maintain project records and documentation.
e. Ensure that all project activities comply with applicable laws, regulations, and standards.
f. Communicate project updates and progress to the partners and other stakeholders.
g. Manage project contracts, including negotiation, administration, and closeout.
h. Facilitate collaboration and communication between project team members and stakeholders.
Essential Functions:
a. To manage the day-to-day activities of the project on behalf of the partners
b. To ensure that the project is delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
c. To manage project risks and ensure that they are addressed effectively.
d. To provide regular project updates and reports to the partners.
e. To facilitate communication and collaboration between the project teams and the partners.
f. The Project Manager is ultimately responsible for managing the defined project scope on behalf of the partners and ensuring that it is delivered safely on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
g. Follow all Blue Polymers Quality, Safety and Environmental Procedures.
h. Uphold the Blue Polymers Code of Conduct Standards.
i. Other duties as assigned by Blue Polymers Board.
Minimum Qualifications/ Education / Experience / Certifications
1. Two-year technical degree at minimum. Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, Electrical or Industrial Engineering preferred (or equivalent work experience).
2. Travel to project sites and equipment suppliers as required.
3. Specification package development (mechanical, electrical, etc.) experience required.
4. 5 years of Engineering and Manufacturing design experience.
5. Demonstrated success in managing and holding accountable 3rd party design, equipment, and maintenance vendors.
6. Must have experience and demonstrated success for completing large capital projects ($ 1 million ) on‐time, on‐budget and safely.
7. Must possess excellent interpersonal, people management and problem-solving skills.
8. Lead with a “Sell, Not tell” style and ensure systems are performing using a Management by Walking Around (MBWA)style. Consistently display highest levels of Code of Conduct leadership behavior.
9. Excellent written and verbal communication.
10. Proficient in Microsoft office suite Excel, Word, and Power Point.
