Description
The Purpose
The primary purpose of this position is to sustain a teaching performance at appropriate levels to include course loads, instructional technology, instructional materials and innovative communication delivery in the Cosmetology and Cosmetic Arts related disciplines. Perform record keeping function in the areas of attendance, student performance in an accurate and timely manner.

What You'll be Doing
- Maintain accreditation and credentials to teach in specific subject areas
- Cosmetology and Cosmetic Arts related fields
- Demonstrated teaching skills
- Demonstrated skills in all areas of the Cosmetology Field and scope of practice.
- Insure compliance and confidentiality with all policies and procedures of the College, NC Community College System, and applicable State and Federal agencies
Additionally
- Maintain the technical competencies necessary to the job function
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor
Qualifications
Education
Certificate in Cosmetology or Diploma from an accredited institution and documented salon experience in Cosmetologist. Currently holds a North Carolina State Board Cosmetologist License as well as a Cosmetology Instructor License that is in good standing and up to date with the NC State Board of Cosmetic Art.
Experience
All applicants must provide verifiable and relevant professional experience in a work-place setting OR demonstrated instructional/teaching environment.

Physical Demands
The ability to perform all duties associated with the position including, but not limited to lifting, prolonged standing, sitting, bending, stooping, and operating or performing work with associated tools and machines.
