BRCC is seeking a Science faculty member to teach in at least two disciplines (Biology, Chemistry, Geology, or Physics). This is a full-time, 9-month, 24-pay position. The position includes teaching science courses within traditional classroom, hybrid, HyFlex, and online instructional environments with a focus on a strong pedagogical approach and quality student learning assessments.
The position also includes participation in institutional development such as service and leadership on college committees, academic advising, and mentoring adjunct faculty within the discipline. Blue Ridge Community College faculty are expected to participate in scholarly engagement, professional development which includes teaching pedagogy, institutional responsibility, and community service to both the campus and surrounding communities.
Candidates selected for interview will be required to facilitate a teaching demonstration as part of the interview process.
- Master’s degree in at least one of the following disciplines: Biology, Chemistry, Geology, Physics and a minimum of 18 graduate hours in another one of the specified disciplines
- Dedication to teaching
- Understanding of the community college mission and environment

- Experience delivering online instruction
