Works with local community agencies to generate a positive facility image and encourage referral activitiesDevelops strategies to maximize potential referral sources, including, but not limited to, hospitals, physicians, insurers, and other health care agenciesMakes sales calls to medical, insurance, legal, and financial professionals, senior organizations, appropriate special interest groups, and other community contactsPlans and implements facility promotional and advertising events and activitiesAssists in the development of facility materials, including brochures, press releases, and advertisementsActs as a representative of the facility at networking and promotional events and / or activities
Forecasts, implements, and monitors sales and marketing plans and budget under the direct supervision of the AdministratorMaintains a working knowledge of federal and state regulations, private insurer reimbursements, and Medicare / Medicaid reimbursementsMonitors and evaluates customer satisfactionConducts facility tours as necessaryParticipates in Admissions activities, as necessaryConducts admission screening of potential residents, determining level of care, services required, equipment needs, and insurance coverageMaintains updated bed availability and facility services informationProcesses and ensures appropriate admission papers and signatures are obtained from residents or responsible parties prior to admissionWorks closely with nursing staff, residents, and family members to coordinate new resident admissions
Reports any issues or problems that may arise to the AdministratorComplies with state, federal, and all other applicable health care and safety standardsAssists families and other visitors as neededAttends / completes required in-services and other required meetingsPerforms weekend manager duties as requiredPerforms other duties as directedEDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience will be considered.Bachelor's Degree, a minimum of 3 years of experience in a healthcare business development role and / or an equivalent combination of education and experienceExperience working in a long-term care setting is preferredMust maintain a valid driver’s license in the applicable stateSUPERVISORY REQUIREMENTS
