The Talent Sourcing Specialist supports our Field Operations department. This role is responsible for identifying qualified veterinarians for clinical positions. The Talent Sourcing Specialist also continues to build our external pipeline by sourcing, and engaging individuals to promote Blue River PetCare as the employer of choice. Ultimately, the responsibilities of the role are to ensure our company attracts, hires, and retains the best veterinary talent, while growing a strong talent pipeline.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities::
- Proactively sources candidates using a variety of techniques and resources, including X-ray/flip & Boolean search, resume databases, really, LinkedIn, etc.
- Leverages candidate pipeline and referral network to fill open positions
- Maintains appropriate records, candidate database, and communication history
- Monitors and advises on market and industry trends to ensure proactive sourcing efforts
- Other duties as assigned
- Associate degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 1 year of high-volume sourcing experience, veterinary/healthcare background a plus
- Working knowledge of various hiring processes (email introductions, high volume outreach, reference checks, etc.) and general human resources/TA principles
- Proven self-starter with the ability & willingness to cold call
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position 90% of the time.
- Frequent keyboarding/use of computer for data entry.
- May occasionally move equipment and supplies up to 20 pounds.
- Proficiency using the Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel).
- Familiarity with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), Salesforce experience a plus.

Salary Range: $60,000-$70,000 per year
Blue River PetCare team members are eligible to participate in the discretionary annual bonus program.
