Blue Rose Consulting Group is seeking a highly skilled Medical Records Manager to support the Wyoming Army National Guard (WYARNG) in Cheyenne, WY. This role involves maintaining, tracking, and managing medical records in accordance with military medical readiness requirements. This is an on-site role and is contingent upon contract award.
In this role, you will:
- Maintain, scan, and file Soldier Treatment Records (STRs), ensuring accuracy and compliance with HIPAA and Privacy Act regulations.
- Update and track medical records in MEDPROS, MODS, MWDE, and other military medical databases.
- Ensure all medical documentation is accurate, secure, and accessible to authorized personnel.
- Support the final disposition of records for Soldiers separating from service.
- Assist case managers in tracking medical and dental appointments to ensure Soldiers remain medically deployable.
- Participate in monthly case review meetings with WYARNG leadership.
- Support Physical Health Assessment (PHA) events, which may include occasional weekend work.
A successful candidate must have:
- Bachelor’s degree (preferred in healthcare administration, public health, or related field).
- Minimum 3 years of experience in case management, medical administration, or military healthcare systems.
- Knowledge of military medical readiness systems and databases.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills.
- Ability to obtain a Common Access Card (CAC).
- Proficiency in using government systems such as MODS, MEDCHART, and MHS-Genesis.
Additional Requirements:
- Must be able to travel as needed for official military events.
- Must be willing to work one weekend per month to support PHA events.
