Cannabis Dispensary Inventory Manager
Blue Sage Cannabis Deli is a Missouri-owned and operated dispensary, and a subsidiary of Show-Me Organics which operates leading cannabis brands like Vivid, Buoyant Bob and Missouri's Own.
Position Overview
We seek an experienced Inventory Manager to oversee all aspects of our dispensary's inventory management system. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate stock levels, ensuring compliance with state regulations, and optimizing inventory processes to maximize efficiency and profitability.
- Maintain accurate inventory counts through regular audits and daily reconciliation.
- Monitor product levels and coordinate with vendors for timely reorders
- Track product expiration dates and manage rotation to prevent losses
- Implement and maintain inventory control systems and procedures
- Coordinate with cultivation facilities and processors for product deliveries
- Conduct daily inventory reconciliations and resolve any discrepancies
- Generate and analyze inventory reports to optimize stock levels
Compliance & Documentation
- Ensure compliance with all state and local regulations regarding cannabis inventory
- Maintain detailed records of all inventory movements and transactions
- Prepare required documentation for state audits and inspections
- Track and maintain proper documentation for product recalls
- Monitor and report any compliance issues or discrepancies
- Maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for inventory control
Team Leadership & Operations
- Train staff on proper inventory procedures and compliance requirements
- Coordinate with the Operations Director to maintain optimal stock levels
- Manage delivery schedules and receiving processes
- Collaborate with security team to maintain product safety
- Assist in development of inventory policies and procedures
Required Qualifications
- 3 years of inventory management experience
- Must be 21 years or older
- Strong understanding of state cannabis regulations and compliance requirements
- Experience with inventory management software and POS systems
- Proficiency in Microsoft and inventory tracking systems
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities
- Valid state-required cannabis worker permits/badges
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous cannabis industry experience
- Experience with METRC or similar seed-to-sale tracking systems
- Knowledge of cannabis products and industry terminology
- Background in retail or pharmaceutical inventory management
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and move up to 30 pounds
- Standing for extended periods
- Essential computer work and data entry
- Moving throughout facility during shifts
Schedule Requirements
- Full-time position (40 hours per week)
- Requires some evenings and weekends
- On-call availability for inventory emergencies
- Flexibility for monthly inventory counts
