Your Role

The Consumer Growth Marketing team is accountable for developing acquisition and retention marketing strategies in support of our business partner's growth goals. The Marketing Communication Specialist, Principal will report to the Senior Director, Consumer Growth Marketing. This is a unique and impactful role, combining chief of staff responsibilities and leadership of key marketing initiatives. This role will act as a key advisor and strategic partner to the Consumer Growth Marketing leadership team while also driving significant marketing projects from conception to completion. The ideal candidate will be a master of execution, adept at navigating complex organizational structure and passionate about contributing to the growth and success of the organization through collaboration. This role will also manage the Consumer Growth Marketing Budget, accounting across the acquisition teams and their respective funding needs.

Responsibilities

Your Work

In this role, you will :

  • Serve as a trusted advisor and strategic thought partner to the Senior Director, providing insights and recommendations on critical business issues
  • Oversee special projects and initiatives as assigned by the Senior Director, often involving cross-functional collaboration and requiring strong project management skills
  • Represent Sr. Director in meetings as needed, included presenting to other Directors and Sales leadership
  • Build and manage cross-functional project teams, effectively collaborating with individuals at all levels of the organization, including senior leadership
  • Develop and monitor project scope, objectives, timelines and budgets ensuring deliverables are on-time and on budget
  • Manage the Consumer Growth Marketing budget, accountability for acquisition team budgets and respective funding needs
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency within the budget, surfacing significant spending fluctuations to leadership
  • Develop agendas and compelling presentations for monthly internal department meetings, as well as contribute content and key insights to leadership meetings
  • Create communication materials through PowerPoint to visually depict the story and influence decisions
  • Track performance and report out on progress against key performance indicators to the Senior Director and the leadership team

Qualifications

Your Knowledge and Experience

  • Requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, master's degree highly desirable
  • Requires at least 10 years of prior relevant experience, including experience building and executing on integrated marketing strategies and plans
  • Requires strong experience and understanding of health insurance marketing and various lines of businesses
  • Requires experience with creating impactful presentations for executive and sales leadership through effective storytelling and strong communication skills
  • Excellent cross-functional teamwork across Brand and Marketing, project management, and organizational leadership skills with attention to detail to capture marketing plan details, goals, and results
  • Ability to strongly influence senior management, stakeholders, and decision makers
  • Ability to multitask with multiple deadlines and / or milestone requirements
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills

  • Hybrid (Default) : Work from a business unit-approved office at least two (2) times per month (for roles below Director-level) or once per week (for Director-level roles and above).Exceptions :

  • Employees living more than 50 miles from their assigned offices are expected to work with their managers on a plan for periodic office visits.

  • On-Site : Work from a business unit-approved office an average of four (4) or more days a week.

    Office Environment - roles involving part to full time schedule in Office Environment. Based in our physical offices and work from home office / deskwork - Activity level : Sedentary, frequency most of work day.
