Automation & Process Control Engineer

They are currently seeking a Manufacturing Systems Engineer to enhance and optimize production systems, implement cutting-edge technologies, and drive continuous improvement across manufacturing processes. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in systems engineering, automation, and manufacturing operations, with a strong background in process optimization and technology integration.

Focus:
- Lead the introduction and ongoing maintenance of customized manufacturing execution systems (MES) to improve production efficiency, integration, and tracking.
- Integrate and align Lean manufacturing principles within the production systems, driving continuous improvement across workflows and reducing inefficiencies.
- Oversee the adoption of new software technologies in the production environment, ensuring smooth implementation and user adoption.
- Work closely with IT teams to manage and address infrastructure needs, including network systems, hardware requirements, and server support.
- Focus on identifying and implementing innovative technologies and automation systems to improve production processes, quality, and overall operational efficiency.
- Ensure that safety and quality standards are maintained in all aspects of the production process, prioritizing a safe working environment and adherence to high-quality standards.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of the Quality Management System (QMS) and internal management systems, supporting compliance efforts and conducting training for employees.
Skill Set:
- Proficient in programming languages such as Python, C , and RSLogix, with a strong understanding of automation systems and programming tools.
- In-depth experience with industrial communication protocols including TCP/IP, OPC UA, and other network communication standards.
- Strong skills in SQL database creation, maintenance, and optimization to support operational data management.
- Hands-on experience managing IT infrastructure, including servers, networking systems, and hardware, ensuring all systems are optimized for production needs.
- Expertise in applying Lean methodologies to improve production efficiency, reduce waste, and streamline manufacturing processes.
- Experience with automation systems and electrical control technologies to improve system integration and reduce manual intervention in production.
- Familiarity with PLC systems is a plus, as is experience with software development for HMI applications.
