Blue Signal Search is proud to partner with our client in the electrical construction industry to find an experienced Electrical Construction Project Manager. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
This role involves planning, executing, and finalizing electrical construction projects according to strict deadlines and within budget. The successful candidate will coordinate efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants, define project scope, goals, and deliverables, and develop full-scale project plans and associated communications documents.
The focus of this role includes:
- Planning, executing, and finalizing electrical construction projects according to strict deadlines and within budget
- Coordinating efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants
- Defining project scope, goals, and deliverables that support business objectives in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders
- Developing full-scale project plans and associated communications documents
- Estimating resources and participants needed to achieve project goals
- Drafting and submitting budget proposals and recommending subsequent budget changes as necessary
- Negotiating with other department managers for personnel acquisition when required
- Determining and assessing the need for additional staff and/or consultants and making appropriate recruitments if necessary during the project cycle
- Delegating tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel
- Identifying and managing project dependencies and critical path
- Planning and scheduling project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools
- Tracking project milestones and deliverables
The successful candidate will possess:
- At least 5-7 years of proven experience as a Project Manager in commercial electrical projects
- Strong familiarity with project management software and tools
- Excellent communication, leadership, and negotiation skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with keen attention to detail
- PMP (Project Management Professional) certification is highly desirable
- Experience in risk management and change management
- A thorough understanding of electrical codes and safety standards
